The weekend is almost upon us again. A break from all things routine – school, work, commuting and maybe even diets. Sometimes, this involves indulging in fried finger foods that you usually don’t get to have during the week.
Enter the chicken wing….I mean – who doesn’t love eating chicken wings? My papa for one is not crazy about chicken wings – he says that it takes too much effort to eat wings because they’re mostly bones and with not much meat. Ty couldn’t disagree more with my papa. He on the other hand absolutely loves chicken wings. He could eat them everyday if he could. Given that there are countless number of ways to prepare them, he asked if I could find the BEST Buffalo Chicken Wing recipe.
I turned to my trusted friend Google again and came across Chef Dennis’ The BEST Buffalo Chicken Wings You’ve Ever Had.
These wings are absolutely amazing. So crispy, juicy and bursting with flavor. Ty enjoyed every single bite of these bad boys and I am happy to report that we no longer have to stop off at that local wing pub for his fried chicken wing fix.
The BEST Buffalo Chicken Wings You’ve Ever Had
: Slightly adapted from Chef Dennis
Ingredients
- 12 Wings
- 1 cup of All Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- ½ teaspoon of pepper
- oil for frying
- Sauce
- 3 oz Franks Buffalo Wing Sauce (or hot sauce of your choice)
- 1 clove of garlic minced
- ½ Stick Butter
- 1 oz Honey
Instructions
- Rince the chicken in cold water, pat it dry with paper towels and then cut the joints apart.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour with salt and pepper. Coat each piece of the chicken in the flour.
- Pour about an inch of olive oil or canola oil in a frying pan and let the oil get hot.
- Lay the wings in the hot oil and cover the pan with the lid for 4-5 minutes on each side until they are a nice golden brown.
- Remove the wings and dry on a paper towel.
- In a saucepan add the butter, hot sauce and honey. Once the butter has melted remove from pan and mix with the wings.
- Serve with your favorite sides.
