Slow Cooker Homemade Cranberry Sauce

This slow cooker cranberry sauce is so easy to make with only 4 ingredients. It's perfect for freeing up extra stove-top space during the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 4-1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 3/4-1 cup fresh orange juice use 1-2 depending on how much juice they have
  • 4-6 Tablespoons honey or maple syrup or more depending on how sweet you like your cranberry sauce
  • 1-2 cinnamon sticks *optional

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in slow cooker and stir together. Cook for 2-3 hours on high or 4-5 hours on low until the ingredients are softened and easy to mash. Remove cinnamon sticks and using the back of a large spoon, smash the berries together and then stir until well combined. Taste and stir in any extra sweetener or add-ins if desired.
  2. The sauce will thicken as it cools. Serve warm or cool.
