This 3-ingredient Roasted Pecans recipe is a healthy snack that can be made sweet or savory! It takes less than 20 minutes to prepare the best roasted pecans in your oven or on the stove.

  • 2 cups raw pecans
  • 1/2 tbsp avocado oil or butter flavored coconut oil (can sub with ghee or butter if not dairy-free)
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp optional seasonings cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, apple pie spice or gingerbread spice
  • 1/2 tsp optional herbs dried rosemary or dried thyme


Oven Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Add the pecans on the baking sheet and drizzle with oil, tossing well to coat.

  2. Sprinkle with sea salt and desired seasonings or herbs, mix to combine and spread out evenly into a single layer.

  3. Bake for 6-8 minutes, until fragrant and toasted.

  4. Remove pan from oven and allow to cool for at least 10 minutes.

  5. Transfer to a bowl or store in a glass jar or airtight container.

Stovetop Method

  1. In a large skillet, heat oil or butter flavored coconut oil over medium heat.

  2. Add pecans and stir to coat. Sprinkle with salt and desired seasonings or herbs. Toss until combined.

  3. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fragrant and toasted.

  4. Allow to cool before serving.
