This Slow Cooker Apple Butter is easy to make in the crockpot and filled with intense apple flavor and a medley of delicious warm spices! This apple spread is the perfect condiment for fall. Freezer-friendly, naturally gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and paleo-friendly.
Add the apples to the slow cooker.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Cook on low for about 6-8 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours, stirring every couple hours, or until the apple butter is thick and dark brown.
Use an immersion blender to puree the apple butter. Or alternatively, transfer to a blender or food processor. Add more sweetener or spices, to taste.
Allow to cool. Transfer to glass containers and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Add all the ingredients to the inner pot of a 6-quart Instant Pot.
Turn Instant Pot to “Manual” and pressure cook on high pressure for 10 minutes. Allow to naturally release for 20 minutes.

Allow the butter to cool completely before storing it in the fridge.
