Cold Brew Chai

This Cold Brew Chai is sweet, refreshing and easy to make with concentrated chai, cold brew and plant-based milk. Skip the trip to the coffeeshop and make this homemade Starbuck copycat recipe is easy to make in the comfort of your own home with just a few simple steps!

Ingredients

For the coffee

For the chai

  • 1 cup brewed and cooled chai tea , we like Blue Lotus or you can use your favorite chai tea bags. You'll need 2 chai tea bags steeped in 1 cup boiling water, then cooled.
  • 1/3 tsp pure maple syrup , optional. You can use organic agave syrup, yacon syrup, date syrup or any liquid syrup or liquid sweetener you like. Use sugar-free maple syrup, liquid monkfruit or stevia for low carb or keto. Leave out for Whole30 or use homemade date paste.

For the cold brew

  1. Prepare your cold brew or use your favorite premade brand. Stir in vanilla and whisk until combined.

For the chai

  1. Brew your chai according to package directions.

    For chai tea bags, you'll need 2 chai tea bags. Add 1 cup of water to a small pot and bring to a boil. Once boiling add 2 tea bags and turn heat off.

    Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes. Discard the tea bags and let the tea cool.

    Once cool, combine the coffee with the chai. Add sweetener if desired.

To Serve

  1. Add ice to a glass, then fill with cold brew chai and pour in preferred milk. Froth first if desired.
