Recipe Notes

How to store:

  • Cool, Dry Haven: Store your cookie box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Excessive heat can compromise the texture and taste of your treats.
  • Air-Tight Containers: For an extra layer of protection, consider placing each cookie type in individual air-tight containers. This prevents mingling of flavors and helps cookies retain their distinct tastes.
  • Avoid the Fridge: While refrigeration may seem like a logical choice, it can actually lead to the loss of moisture, resulting in dry cookies. Stick to room temperature storage for the best results.

How to Freeze:

  • Cool Completely: Let freshly baked cookies cool entirely on a wire rack.
  • Prepare Surface: Line a flat surface with parchment paper for easy freezing.
  • Arrange in a Single Layer: Lay cookies on the prepared surface, ensuring they don't touch.
  • Flash Freeze (Optional): For soft-centered cookies, consider a brief (30-minute) flash freeze.
  • Wrap Individually (Optional): Wrap each cookie in plastic if you prefer individual portions.
  • Layer with Parchment (Optional): If stacking, use parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking.
  • Use Airtight Containers or Bags: Store in airtight containers or resealable bags, removing excess air.
  • Store in Freezer: Place containers or bags in the freezer, allowing cookies to freeze individually.
  • Thawing: When ready to enjoy, thaw at room temperature or reheat in the oven for a few minutes.
