Peppermint Cream Cheese Frosted Brownies

Peppermint Brownies.jpg

Happy December everyone! Hope those that celebrated had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with lots of laughter and yummy food :)

With the start of December, it means the holiday countdown is now officially on.

Most of us will be busy crossing off all the things on our list that need to be done in this short time.

Getting the decorations ready, making sure the house is clean and ready for guests, attending gatherings and parties, making and purchasing gifts and visiting family and friends.

My favorite part of this busy season is immersing myself into batches of homemade festive treats and holiday cookies while spending quality time with family.

Christmas is definitely one of my favorite times of the year. I can’t help getting caught up in the festivities.

Ever since Ty put up the Christmas tree and decorations two weeks ago, we’ve already started embracing the holiday season by watching our favorite Christmas movies, listening to Christmas carols and consuming large amounts of peppermint and cocoa.

‘Tis the most wonderful time of the year :)

I can never seem to resist stocking up on bags of seasonal chocolates so for my first festive treat that I made, I whipped up a batch of these Peppermint Cream Cheese Frosted Brownies and melted some Peppermint M&M‘s and Hershey’s Peppermint Kisses for the cream cheese frosting.

I also tossed in some green and red Nestle Holiday Chocolate Morsels in the brownie batter just for fun.

These brownies will surely put you into the festive mood and they are great for bringing to a holiday gathering or party.

Sprinkle some chopped candy canes and drizzle some chocolate sauce over this to make these extra special.

Happy Monday everyone and enjoy!

I can live off peppermint and chocolate the whole month of December too! It’s such a festive flavor and does help put you into the holiday mode. These brownies look deliciously decadent! I would have a hard time not snatching up the whole batch for myself!

  2. What gorgeous PINK (squeal!) brownies. Looks like perfection to me!

  3. Kelly – this is like Christmas all in one bite. I love the colors, how festive it all looks. We are in full Christmas mode at our house, too. The tree’s up, house is decorated and this year’s gingerbread house has likewise been decorated, too. I’ve been baking Christmas cookies and we are drinking up our fair share of hot chocolate. My son loves peppermint (so do I!) and we’re munching on peppermint bark and all that good stuff. If only we had some of your brownies! My son is crazy for brownies and I made a peppermint version last year that we really enjoyed but I think yours has it beat in the “eye candy” department. : ) Enjoy this holiday season with your family (and the upcoming member in your tummy) – I hope it is filled with lots of warmth and many of your delicious treats! xo

    • Aaw, thank you so much Monica, you are always so sweet:) Oh I love the sound of the gingerbread house and all the Christmas cookies you made and wish I could sample all of your delicious baked goods :) Your house sounds wonderfully warm and festive and I am so happy to hear that you and your family are enjoying this holiday season so far and hope you have a wonderful week my dear friend :)
