DIY Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew Coffee Recipe
Want to take your iced coffee up a notch for fall? This Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew Coffee is a fun and healthier twist on the popular Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew Coffee. It’s easy to make with your favorite cup of cold brew coffee, real pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice and any plant-based milk.
The best part about making your own pumpkin cold brew at home is that you can skip the trip to Starbucks without any fancy coffee maker required! To make your pumpkin cream nice and frothy, you’ll need a frothing pitcher or a handheld frother.
Now you can enjoy your favorite seasonal drink any time you’re craving it and not just in October or November! Plus it’s dairy-free, refined-sugar-free, vegan, paleo-friendly with low carb, keto and Whole30 options!
What you’ll need:
For the coffee
- Cold brew coffee – you can use our homemade cold brew coffee or your favorite premade brand.
- Vanilla extract – just a splash is all you need to add flavor and make your iced pumpkin coffee delicious.
For the Pumpkin Cream
- Dairy-free Milk or Dairy-free Creamer – we used unsweetened almond milk (Malk Organics is the creamiest and made without any gums and just 3 ingredients) but you can use any plant-based milk you have on hand. For a dairy-free creamer, we like Nutpods Original.
- Maple syrup – to sweeten things up without any refined sugars. You can use organic agave syrup, yacon syrup, date syrup or any liquid syrup or liquid sweetener you like. Use sugar-free maple syrup, liquid monkfruit or stevia for low carb or keto. Leave out for Whole30 or use homemade date paste.
- Vanilla extract – just a splash is all you need to add flavor and make your Starbucks copycat pumpkin cold brew coffee delicious.
- Pumpkin spice – you can use our homemade pumpkin pie spice blend or you can grab a jar from any grocery store.
- Pumpkin puree: be sure to use pure sugar free canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling) or homemade pumpkin puree. Be sure not to use canned pumpkin pie filling though since it’s packed with other sweeteners and fillers.
- Canned coconut cream – optional but adds extra creaminess. We like the one from Trader Joe’s.
For serving:
- Glass
- Handful of ice cubes
- An extra sprinkle of pumpkin spice for good measure!
How to make Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew Coffee

Tips and tricks
- Cold brew: Be sure to use a good quality cold brew concentrate. Make your own by following our guide HERE. You can pick up some cold brew at Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s or even your favorite coffee shop.
- Milk or Dairy-free creamer: Choose a milk that will froth well. We like using Malk Organics unsweetened almond milk since it’s thick, creamy and froths up really well. For a dairy-free creamer, we like Nutpods Original.
- Sweetener: We used maple syrup or you can use organic agave syrup, yacon syrup, date syrup or any liquid syrup or liquid sweetener you like. Use sugar-free maple syrup, liquid monkfruit or stevia for low carb or keto. Leave out for Whole30 or use homemade date paste.
