Easy S’mores Dip Recipe
Craving s’mores but don’t have a campfire? This S’mores Dip combines all the things you love about s’mores into a big skillet. It’s made with melted chocolate, grain-free graham crackers and gooey marshmallows. simple ingredients you most likely have in your kitchen.
Plus, it’s grain-free, gluten-free, paleo and comes takes no prep time at all and can be ready in under 30 minutes! The gooey dip bakes up with just 3 ingredients and under 20 minutes and you’ve got one dreamy dessert perfect for sharing with your friends and family and no campfire required.
We’ve been seeing a few versions of the indoor s’mores dip all over Pinterest then we saw this version on Pillsbury which used Reese’s Peanut Butter cups which is like the best chocolate ever.
So we decided make three different variations using different-sized pans for some friends we were having over.

Ingredients you need
S’mores filling
- Vegan marshmallows – You can use jumbo marshmallows like we did or mini marshmallows. We like MyDandies Vegan Marshmallows or Sweet Apricity for strict paleo. I also have a homemade marshmallow recipe.
- Chocolate chips – or chopped dark chocolate. We like Hu’s Kitchen Gems, Lily’s Sweets or Pascha’s Chocolate
- Dairy-free creamer – combined with the melted chocolate chips help to make a smooth chocolate ganache filling. We like Nutpods or you can sub with full-fat coconut milk (Trader Joe’s or Aroy-D). Or sub with regular heavy cream if not dairy-free.
- Coconut oil – or softened vegan butter for greasing your pan. You can also use pure avocado oil spray.
Optional Add-ins
- Peanut Butter Cups – or any Nut Butter Cups of your choice. We like Evolved Nut Butter Cups or Evolved Keto Cups or Lily’s Sweets Nut Butter Cups.
- Vegan Caramel Chews – we like Sugar-Free Cocomels, Sea Salt Cocomels or these Lily’s Caramels.
For serving
- Gluten-free graham crackers – we like Simple Mills Grain-Free Honey Cinnamon Sweet Thins, Simple Mills Crunchy Cinnamon Cookies or Hu’s Kitchen Grain-Free Snickerdoodles to keep this recipe grain-free, vegan and paleo-friendly. You can also use regular or gluten-free graham crackers if not paleo.
How to make S’mores Dip
This easy pan s’mores dip starts off with either a cast iron skillet or a cake pan with the bottoms and sides greased well.
- Serve: Remove from oven and allow the skillet/pan to rest for 3-4 minutes before serving with your favorite grain-free cookies or gluten-free graham crackers. This dip is best enjoyed immediately while still warm so the chocolate and marshmallows stay gooey.
S’mores Dip Without An Oven
Don’t want to heat up your house? You can make this s’mores dip on the grill.
- Preheat grill: Preheat grill to approximately 350°F. Place a larger pizza stone on the rack to preheat for at least 30 minutes with the top of grill closed.
- Make the dip: Prepare your dip as you would just like in the oven.
- Cook: Place pan on the pizza stone, close grill and bake until chocolate has melted slightly. Remove from grill and place an even layer of marshmallows and return the pan back to the grill. Bake until the tops of the marshmallows have browned. This can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes.
- Cool and serve: Remove pan from grill and allow to stand for 3-4 minutes before eating. Serve with grain-free crackers or gluten free graham crackers.
Variations
Chocolate chips: If your guests don’t have any dietary concerns, feel free to substitute the dairy-free chocolate chips with semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, mini chocolate chips, white chocolate chips or butterscotch chocolate chips.
Add-ins: Have fun with your toppings and add chopped walnuts or pecans.
Fruit: Stir in some strawberries, raspberries, blueberries or some chopped peaches for a delicious s’mores fruit dip.
Cookie dough: Roll some edible cookie dough balls for a delicious s’mores with cookie dough dip.

How to store: This oven s’mores dip is best enjoyed right away on the day it was made but if you have leftovers, you can store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
How to reheat:
- Oven method: To reheat your pan s’mores dip, bake in an oven safe baking dish at 335F 10-15 minutes, or until warm and the chocolate has melted.
- Microwave method: Transfer to a microwaveable dish and heat on medium-high in 20 second-increments, or until warm and the chocolate has melted.

- grain-free graham cracker cookies for dipping. , We like Simple Mills Grain-Free Honey Cinnamon Sweet Thins, Simple Mills Crunchy Cinnamon Cookies or Hu's Kitchen Grain-Free Snickerdoodles to keep this recipe grain-free, vegan and paleo-friendly. For a low carb / keto version, use High Key Snickerdoodles, High Key Vanilla Wafers or my keto shortbread cookie recipe. You can also use regular or gluten-free graham crackers if not paleo.
Place skillet or cake pan in center rack of the oven. Preheat to 425°F leaving skillet inside. Remove skillet and pan from oven using an oven mitt.
Grease with softened vegan butter or spray with oil spray. Snip the large marshmallows in half. Set aside.
Fill skillet or cake pan with the chocolate combination of your choice along with dairy-free creamer. Bake in the preheated oven for 3 minutes or until chocolate softens up. Remove carefully from oven using oven mitts and place onto a heat safe surface.
Place an even layer of marshmallows on top of the chocolate chips.
Bake for an additional 6-8 or until the marshmallows turn golden brown - watching closely near the end in case the marshmallows burn. Remove from oven and allow the skillet/pan to rest for 3-4 minutes before serving with grain-free crackers or gluten free graham crackers.
Best enjoyed immediately while still warm so the chocolate and marshmallows stay gooey.
