We’ve officially entered fall! Tis’ the season for cooler temps, cozy sweaters, and of course, hot coffee to warm you up.
September 29th also happens to be National Coffee Day! On busy school mornings, my husband and I get up extra early before the kids. There’s nothing like that first sip of a strong cup of coffee to get us through that early morning rush of getting everyone out the door on time.
This is why we love our new Keurig® K-Select Brewer. It includes a “strong” option and kicks up the strength making it perfect for those who like a stronger cup of coffee.
I also love how easy and convenient it is to brew various sizes depending on how I feel. It brews 6, 8, 10 and 12 oz. at the touch of a button.
- Quiet Brew Technology TM feature
- Brews K-Cup® pods in under a minute
- Large 52 oz. water reservoir
- Smart Start brewing technology
- Programmable auto-off feature
- Removable drip tray
- Brewer maintenance reminder
- Fingerprint resistant exterior
Did you know you can also use coffee brewed in your Keurig® coffee maker to create fun seasonal lattes like you see at local coffee shops?
Making them at home means you can make whatever type of latte you want, and today, I’m sharing 4 of our favorites:
- Pumpkin Caramel Latte
- Graham Cracker Toasted Marshmallow Mocha Latte
- Peppermint Crunch Mocha Latte
- Gingerbread Latte
HOW TO MAKE THESE HOMEMADE LATTES
All of these recipes start off by steaming some milk in a saucepan over medium heat for a few minutes. Once the bubbles start to appear, remove from heat and start whisking until the milk gets foamy.
By using my K-Select™ brewer, I can make a delicious strong cup of coffee with the touch of a button and it’s ready to use for any of these lattes.
Pumpkin Caramel Latte
Full of cozy warm spices and a popular fall favorite.
This recipe starts off by brewing a Green Mountain Coffee® Pumpkin Spice Coffee K-Cup® pod and selecting the strong option. Then you’ll add a touch of maple syrup (or sweetener of your choice), pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon along with the steamed milk.
And of course, the toppings are the funnest part. You can choose to add your favorite whipped cream, a dash of cinnamon and drizzle of caramel sauce and chocolate shavings.
Graham Cracker Toasted Marshmallow Mocha Latte
Add a few toasted marshmallows to make this an extra cozy drink to enjoy by the fire.
You’ll start off by making the coffee by brewing the Green Mountain Coffee® Toasted Marshmallow Mocha Coffee K-Cup® pod and selecting the strong option. Add sugar (or sweetener of your choice), cocoa powder, vanilla extract and then stir in the steamed milk.
Top with whipped cream, some toasted marshmallows and crushed graham crackers.
Peppermint Crunch Mocha Latte
There’s something about peppermint and chocolate that just screams the holidays. This festive favorite is a must once December hits.
Again, you’ll start off by making the coffee by brewing The Original Donut Shop® Peppermint Bark Coffee K-Cup® pod ([The Original Donut Shop® Peppermint Bark Coffee|www.keurig.com/Beverages/Coffee/Flavored/Peppermint-Bark-Coffee/p/Peppermint-Bark-Coffee-K-Cup-DSC?cm_mmc=ref-_-pr-_-sweeter-_-september17 rel=’nofollow’]) and selecting the strong option. Add sugar (or sweetener of your choice), cocoa powder, peppermint extract and then stir in the steamed milk.
Top with whipped cream, cocoa powder and some chopped candy canes.
Perfect anytime you’re craving the great taste of a gingerbread cookie without the extra work of making and rolling out cookie dough.
You’ll start off by making the coffee by brewing the Green Mountain Coffee® Gingerbread Coffee K-Cup® pod and selecting the strong option. Add maple syrup (or sweetener of your choice), cinnamon and cloves and then stir in the steamed milk.
Top with whipped cream, white chocolate shavings and crushed gingersnap cookies.
And that’s it! Watch the video and see how easy they are to make. The hardest part is choosing a favorite!
