WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN SHOPPING FOR THE BEST LOW SUGAR PROTEIN BARS?
- look for snack bars that are made with mainly whole-food ingredients
- the perfect keto protein bars have a higher number of healthy fats and whole proteins such as avocado oil, coconut oil, extra-virgin olive oil and MCT oils
- avoid low sugar protein bars that contain lots of preservatives and artificial sweeteners such as maltitol as it can still raise your glucose levels. We’re also not a fan of low carb bars that contain sucralose or IMO fiber as they can affect your gut, be harsh on your stomach and digestive system.

However, if you’re in a pinch, keto protein bars are a convenient snack that can help curb your appetite until your next meal.
They can also help boost your energy before a workout and when you’re looking to refuel after a workout.
ARE PROTEIN BARS HEALTHY?
We think protein bars, when consumed in moderation can be a part of a healthy and balanced diet of whole foods and vegetables.
They are a favorite of athletes and weight lifters since they are portable and make a convenient snack-on-the-go. A good protein bar may help you re-energize when you are out running errand or out on a run, jog or a hike.
